Joining the world of blogging again. Thankful and hopeful for new energy, and to track our life over the years.

Thinking of stuff to do with the subject of gossip this morning. Listening to the book "Adorned"--I highly recommend it (also, find it on audio here)--and how she highlights our motives for what we are saying. One point she made was that if it doesn't involve the person, and they are not the solution, don't speak to them about it. Something to chew on. I've often thought that we should have wise counsel, and sometimes you go to a certain person to sort of see if you are out of your mind, seeing things that aren't there, etc. I definitely will be sitting with that one for awhile..considering scripture in light of it.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to study and grow with so many people in this season of life. My kids and I have started to inductively study a book of the bible and I can tell you that it is so amazing when the bible comes alive and you begin to see things that you have never seen before. Even if you have read the bible many times, you learn so much more this way! I encourage you to check it out.

Something else that has been a huge help to us is the bible project videos. They lay out a book of the bible so that you can see the overview. They do it in a brilliant way! Your kids will enjoy how they draw it out. So helpful!
